A Brit a Day [#1218]

Some uplifting behind-the-scenes photos from 'Sherlock' S3.  And uplifting is needed as the airdate for S3 is nowhere to be found. Filming apparently wrapped earlier this month, though. [I think I got these from a gallery on the BBC One website?]

Check this out for fan art, and read about it here:

Seriously, read about it--it may not be what you think it is!

A Brit a Day [#1184]

Checking in on Ben with this picture I found on tumblr long ago.  What do you think--was it a friend at a party [or a stranger at a party] or a passing fan or a lurking professional who took this one?  Was Mr. C okay with it or wanting someone to f-off? His face is so....unreadable.

I love this artist I just found on the Japanese artists' site pixiv, Shimizu.  I love everything about their style right down to the patina on the sketchbook.  You'll love it too, especially if you are a fan of Top Gear, Doctor Who, Sherlock...I saw at least one great sketch of Tom Hiddleston as well.  Check it out--Shimizu's work can be found here--

I'm not sure how far you can get without creating an account.  I did, and it was worth it.

A Brit a Day [#1157]

If I lived in the UK, I could see Benedict Cumberbatch on Top Gear tonight.  As it is, I'll be seeing it a week from Monday.  Have I stuck by my ban on Top Gear-related Tumblr posts?  No....Not since the series premiere. But seeing a few screen caps out of context don't really spoil anything. I'm just going to be having this sense of deja vu with every episode I watch.

A Brit a Day [#1135]

We're going to see 'Star Trek: Out of Darkness' tomorrow.  It's my Fathers' Day treat to my husband....right.

A Brit a Day [#1107]

Just bringing these back because....

....this week I got this:

A Brit a Day [#1075]

This adorable piece of fan art speaks my implicit motto: The Best Boys Are in Britain.  All credit to the artist.

A Brit a Day [#1054]

Instead of fan art today, I have fan clipping:  an article that came out with the release of 'War Horse.'

A Brit a Day [#1025]

I never had the slightest interest in men with blue eyes and short wavy hair until last year.  Thank you to the firm of Hiddleston & Cumberbatch.

A Brit a Day [#1011]

The following comment might seem to objectify Benedict Cumberbatch:  I'm not sure I like him outside of 'Sherlock.'  To tell you the truth, I haven't seen him in anything outside of 'Sherlock.'  The Ben-as-Sherlock combination is so perfect, I don't want anything to mess with it.  I will definitely see him in the next 'Star Trek' movie, so that may help to break the ice.

A Brit a Day [#1004]

These are the last of the files I have saved with Benedict as Sherlock.  After this....what?  We wait?

A Brit a Day [#997]

David Tennant, who used to be our Monday Brit, would like to visit on Benedict's day every once and a while....especially until we get 'Sherlock' back.

A Brit a Day [#983]

I can't believe it has been half a year since Comic Con 2012. [Frankly, I can't believe that January 2013 is half over either.]  Here's a lovely article about Ben Cumberbatch from a magazine I picked up at Comic Con last July.  And there he is with the smokes again.....

A Brit a Day [#974]

And do you have any New Year's resolutions, Mr. Cumberbatch?  Any bad habits you'd like to give up?

A Brit a Day [#973]

I'm taking off the week to celebrate Christmas, and after that, who knows, I might just go straight to Anime L A.  I'll try to check in here between times.  I'll just leave some stocking stuffers here--be Merry! [in a non-LOTR sort of way.]

A Brit a Day [#968]

I love Martin Freeman, but all 'The Hobbit' in the world won't take the place of a fix from this man.

Dying for more 'Sherlock.'  Dy-y-i-i-ng.

A Brit a Day [#961]

This lovely banner pic is from a Benedict Cumberbatch fansite.  I think the CinemaScope style of photo editing is particularly flattering to this picture.

A Brit a Day [#955]

What??!!  I can't believe I haven't posted this before!  It is the scene from 'War Horse' that is filled with the unbearable radiance of both Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch in caricature form.  But look at the adorable homage to Tom Hiddleston's life and career all over the wall and shelf!  Applause should be funneled toward artist Glas-onion on Tumblr.

A Brit a Day [#954]

Just a little torture because it has been so long/will be so long until we see these guys.
