The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo:  most integral soundtrack ever, imo.  Been listening to a lot of Trent Reznor and How to Destroy Angels in the car.  Trent Reznor isn't technically a Brit, although he was resuscitated from an overdose in London once.  So today's Brit is, by association, Daniel Craig.

Does anyone know when the American sequel to TGWTDT is coming out?

I tried to watch this horror movie from 1961 tonight called 'Curse of the Werewolf' because Oliver Reed was in it.  But his character wasn't even born until almost halfway through.  I'll take Oliver Reed in an artsy Ken Russell film [like 'The Devils' with Vanessa Redgrave] over a werewolf movie anytime.

I'm 99.99% certain this photo of Alan Rickman is from a movie he made with Emma Thompson in 1998 called 'Judas Kiss.'  In it, he plays a detective from New Orleans [yes, with a southern accent] and Ms. T's character is with the FBI.

Jeremy Irons is in the Monday slot today because, with the advent of the new year, my hopes are renewed that 'The Hollow Crown' might actually air in the US in 2013.  PBS's 'Great Performances' has the 4 episodes listed in its current season as 'TBD.'  Whatever that means.  The dream of actual high quality Shakespeare being televised in America begins to become reality as some PBS stations are scheduling episodes of 'Shakespeare Uncovered' beginning this Friday, including the one hosted by Jeremy Irons on the Henries IV and V. [But so far not MY PBS station of course.  Of course.]
